Ingredients
- 1 ounce unsweetened chocolate
- 1/2 cup sugar or 1/4 cup honey
- 13/4 cups milk
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- cream
Directions
Melt in the top of a double boiler: 1 ounce of unsweetened chocolate.
Slowly stir in sugar, milk and salt and heat to the boiling point.
Dissolve cornstarch in 1/4 cup of milk. Stir into the hot milk mixture. Cook over boiling water for 10 minutes, stirring constantly. Cover and cook 10-12 minutes more. Cool by stirring very gently. Add vanilla. Serve with cream.
