Ingredients
- 1 cup shortening
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup molasses
- 1 teaspoon ginger
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 3 1/2 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
Directions
Makes 6 dozen. Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs and spices. Mix Add sifted dry ingredients to creamed mixture alternately with 1/2 cup cold water. Drop by large spoonfuls on greased cookie sheet Bake at 375 degrees for 8 - 10 minutes.
