Ingredients
- 1/2 cup sliced onion
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- 4 cups tomatoes
- 2 cups tomato sauce
- 3 ounce can broiled sliced mushrooms
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1 1/2 teaspoons oregano or sage
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon thyme
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 cup water
Directions
Cook onion until almost tender. Add meat and garlic Brown lightly Add remaining ingredients Simmer uncovered 2 -21/2 hours Stirs occasionally Remove bay leaf and serve.
