Ingredients
- 5-6 cups peeled, sliced apples
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 pie crust for top and bottom of pie
Directions
Mix the apples with all the ingredients except the butter. Put in a pie shell and dot with the butter. Put on the top crust and cook at 450 degrees 10 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 350 degrees for 45 minutes - 1 hour. I always put foil around the edges of the pie crust until the last 15 minutes when I remove it to let the crust edges brown a little.
