Ingredients
- 3/4 cup butter
- 1 1/2 cups honey
- 4 beaten eggs
- 3 cups flour
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice
- OR
- 2 teaspoons undiluted OJ from concentrate
Directions
Cream butter and honey Add eggs Mix and sift flour, baking powder, salt and soda. Add dry ingredients, alternating with milk. Add vanilla and juice. Pour into 3 buttered, floured 8 or 9" pans. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 - 30" Cool 10 minutes - turn out on racks. Fill and frost.
