- 7/8 cup sifted all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/3 cup butter or shortening
- 1 cup sour cream / buttermilk
Directions
Serving size: 1 1/2" Servings: 24.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Sift the dry ingredients together. Add the whole wheat flour and mix well. Cut the butter into the flour with a pastry blender. When the mixture has a fine-crumb consistency, stir in the sour cream or buttermilk with a fork.
Turn out onto a floured board and roll and cut for biscuits.
This recipe also works perfectly for Turkey Cranberry Roll.
