Ingredients
- 1 package wonton wrappers
- 1 cup chopped cooked spinach
- 3/4 cup ground pork
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 2 teaspoons rice wine or sherry
- 6 cups chicken broth
- 1/2 scallion, in thin strips
- 1 ham, thin strips
Directions
Mix in a bowl: the spinach leaves, pork, salt, sugar, pepper and rice wine. Put small amount of mixture in center of wonton wrappers. Moisten edges with water and wrap: (see brown card file for picture of wrapping) Cook in boiling water 3 - 4 minutes and remove to individual bowls. Bring 6 cups of chicken broth to a boil. Add pinch of salt and pepper to taste. Pour broth over wontons. Garnish with 1/2 scallion cut in thin strips and piece of ham cut in thin strips.
