Ingredients
- 3/4 cup shortening
- 1 cup sugar
- OR
- 1/2 cup honey
- 4 tablespoons molasses
- 1 egg
- 2 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon cloves
- 1 teaspoon ginger
Directions
Cream the shortening and sugar or honey. Add molasses and egg and beat well. Add the mixed dry ingredients. Roll into teaspoon size balls Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Makes 4 dozen
